33rd Annual Cross Country & Fun Run

Star of the Sea AC are delighted to announce that our Annual Cross Country Meeting takes place at Grenanstown, Stamullen, Co. Meath on Sunday 24th September starting at 11.00am. Like last year all the races both juvenile and adult will be all chip timed. There will be no entries on the day and all entries will have to be done online by following this link:

The race numbers will be given out in the car-park field and athletes with numbers will have free entry to the race field. Spectating adults will have to pay €5 at gate.

Star of the Sea AC are delighted to announce that our Annual Cross Country Meeting returns this year after a two year absence. However this year we are making some changes in that all the races both juvenile and adult will be all chip timed. There will be no entries on the day and all entries will have to be done online by following this link:

The 31st running of our Annual Cross Country Meeting takes place on Sunday 22nd of September at Greenanstown, Stamullen, Co. Meath. . Like last year we have the facility for those doing the junior, senior, masters and ladies and men’s race to register on line and collect their numbers on payement at the gate which will cut out the hassle of filling out forms on the day.
As usaul directions to the venue will be signposted from Stamullen village and from the Duleek – Julianstown road.
Juvenile Races: Ages u9 to U17 starting at 11am
Junior/Senior/Masters & Fit4Life at 1.00pm

The 30th running of our Annual Cross Country Meeting takes place on Sunday 23rd of September at Greenanstown, Stamullen, Co. Meath. As usual complimentary tea and coffee will be on the brew from early morning. Like last year we have the facility for those doing the junior, senior, masters and fit4life ladies and men’s race to register on line and collect their numbers on payement at the gate which will cut out the hassle of filling out forms on the day. Individuals entering in the Fit4Life team category have to be bona-fide Fit4Life runners.
As usaul directions to the venue will be signposted from Stamullen village and from the Duleek – Julianstown road.

Star of the Sea AC 5th Annual Road Race & Fun Run with Juvenile Programme
Tuesday 30th May 2017
Star of the Sea 5th Annual 5k Road Race and Fun Run around the village of Stamullen takes place on Tuesday 30th May 2017 at 8pm. Race HQ is the St. Patrick’s GFC Centre on the Cockhill Rd., Stamullen. The 5k event will be preceeded by juvenile races (cost €2 at the line) around the track at St. Patrick’s GFC starting at 7pm. Online registration for the 5k is now open and costs €15. For groups of 10 or more entering online there is a rate of €12 per individual. Follow this link to complete your online registration:

There will be free technical T-shirts for the 1st 200 online entries. The race is limited to 500 participants. There are cash prizes in male and female categories for the 1st 5 finishers overall, 1st 2 juniors, 1st 2 masters o/40, o/45, o/50, o/55 & o/60 plus the 1st 2 club teams male and female. As usual the post race refreshments and prize giving will take place upstairs in the pavillon.

You can open the link below which will show you the course route around Stamullen. The race starts on the Gormanston Rd about 300m east of the the bridge over the M1 and finishes on the track at the St. Patrick’s GFC. The route is the same as used in 2016.

Chip Timed Race though the village of Stamullen, Meath, Ireland.
Last year’s event saw 328 athletes compete, with Eoin Callaghan (SOS) crossing the line first in 15:43minutes, with Orla Timmins (SOS) taking the ladies title in a time of 18:48.
